On October 20, 2023, the official opening of the Agri Plus Biogas Plant took place in Krąplewice. This unique event was attended by representatives of local authorities, the company’s management board and employees, as well as representatives of the industry media.
The guests present at the opening ceremony included Barbara Studzińska – Starosta of Świecie, Maciej Rakowicz – Mayor of Jeżewo Commune, Maciej Pikuła – Deputy Mayor of Jeżewo, Krzysztof Kułakowski – Mayor of Świecie, Jerzy Wójcik – Chairman of the City Council in Świecie, Józef Gawrych – Councilor of Świecie County and Father Jerzy Ditrich – Parish Priest of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Laskowice.
The gathered guests were welcomed by Paweł Gołębiewski, President of the Management Board of Agri Plus. He emphasized the mission of Agri Plus as a good neighbor that cares for local communities and focuses on the development of renewable energy in Poland, to the best of its capabilities. In his speech, the President presented the investment calendar. The construction of the Agri Plus biogas plant began in November 2021. Earthworks began in December 2021, and the permit to use the facility was obtained in September 2023. In October 2023, energy production began.
Then, Karol Przybyła, Director of Plant Production of Agri Plus, spoke about technical issues. The biogas plant is equipped with one 250 kW biogas engine, which allows for the generation of 1,638 MW of electricity per year and the processing of approximately 50,000 m3 of slurry and 2.5 thousand tons of solid substance in the form of corn silage supplied by local farmers annually. As a result of the operation of the Agri Plus biogas plant, valuable post-fermentation fertilizer is obtained, which will be used in cooperation with local farmers to fertilize fields. This cooperation will significantly reduce the costs incurred by farmers and will have a positive impact on the local economy.
Barbara Studzińska, Staroste Świecki, and Maciej Rakowicz, Mayor of the Jeżewo Commune, congratulated the commitment to ecological and innovative solutions in their speeches. They also emphasized good cooperation with Agri Plus.
Maciej Kutrzuba, Manager of the Biogas Plant, showed everyone around the area and explained the operation of individual devices.
The opening of the Agri Plus Biogas Plant is an important step towards the production of renewable energy and creating a greener future. This investment contributes to the sustainable development of the region and constitutes a significant contribution to the protection of the natural environment.
